Angel Food Ministry
With a heavy heart, Angel Food Ministries announced the end of their food distribution program on September 22, 2011. The leaders of AFM considered many options to continue operations in the face of the recession, but unfortunately the increasing cost of food and gas put a strain on the organization's ability to provide a low-cost, high-quality alternative to traditional grocery stores.
Over the past 17 years, Angel Food Ministries helped tens of millions of customers save on food costs. In addition, AFM gave roughly $24 million in benevolence funds to church host sites and other partner organizations. We are grateful to have been a part of this ministry. Along with our 15 partnering churches, St. Timothy’s has distributed more than 5,000 boxes of food and served more than 800 families in our area.
To those of you who volunteered each month: thank you for your faithfulness and commitment to the Angel Food Ministry. We could not have done it without you.
