MOPS - Mothers of Preschoolers

Our 2011-2012 theme is Momsense: Bold, Loving and Sensible. Our theme verse is: "God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible." 2 Timothy 1:7
Spring 2012
The Spring 2012 session begins on Wednesday, Jan. 11th, and meets every other Wednesday until May 2nd. If you would like to join this session of MOPS, contact the group by , or call St. Tim's at 410-747-6690. All mothers of children under 5 years of age are welcome! Even if your baby hasn't been born yet, you can still come join us!
About Us
This is the fourth year for the MOPS group at St. Tim's. A part of MOPS International, our group is a ministry designed to come alongside YOU during this season of early mothering. It is our goal that there is, "no mom alone."
Karen, Erica, Amy, Amy, Jeannie, and Chrissy enjoy Tea and Testimony, an annual highlight on the MOPS calendar.
What do we do at MOPS?
- Enjoy light fare
- Fellowship with other moms
- Learn from different speakers about marriage, mothering, and womanhood
- Share small group discussions
- Learn a life skill
- Create a craft project

Chrissy and Lisa work on Resolution Boards, a craft for reminding about New Year's Resolutions. MOPS learn several productive crafts over the course of a semester-long program.
Where and when do we meet?
We meet at St. Timothy's Church in Bellis Hall from 9:00-11:20 a.m, every other Wednesday starting Jan. 11. You can also visit MOPS Calendar Page, for more information.
Is there a fee?
Your first visit with us is free! Afterwards, if you decide to join our group, there is a fee. Fees help to cover food, crafts, speaker fees and childcare. Complete this registration form for you and this one for your children, if you decide you would like to join us!
- $37.00 for moms with infants (up to 5 months)
- $53.00 for moms with one child (5 months & older)
- $73.00 for moms with two children
- $89.00 for moms with three children

Chrissy, Alicia and Heather show off their handiwork -- a blanket made for Maryland's Project Linus Chapter. In addition to informative speakers and discussions, MOPS members participate in at least one service project a semester.
What happens with the preschoolers?
You children are cared for in the Moppets program, where they hear Bible stories and do crafts. They are split into different groups, based on age.

Moppets Tyra, Zion, Jack, and Beau get to play, do activities, hear stories, and have snack time with other children while their moms have fellowship.
Anything else?
In addition to the MOPS meetings, outings are planned throughout the semester. Some of them involve the children, while others are for moms only!
Mamas and children at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore during a MOPS outing. Other events for children have been at the B&O Museum and Clark's Ellioak Farm. Mom only events include dinner out, crafting nights and bowling.
I have more questions!
